I’d like it to say “He did his best”
Didn’t always achieve everything
But worked overall for good

He knew what he believed in
And defended it, vigorously
While respecting the views of others

He was loyal and faithful
And constant, without being dogmatic
And spoke his truth quietly

He tried to see the good in everyone
And took the time to listen
Even to things that he did not want to hear
